Paul Simpson the Former head of PR, BBC Radio 1; part of the launch team with Shazam; PR credits including Kiss FM, Nicky Campbell, and PR roles in Parliament and the civil service. Now honorary patron to the PR Fraternity after ten years as a PR lecturer, including at Greenwich, and LCC will be in conversation with the fraternity on the 23rd of January at 5pm in KW002!

After the conversation we wil be heading to the Greenwich Tavern to continue the networking.

The speakers including; Amy McAdam – Account Executive at Portland; Katie Swail – Account Director at freuds; Joanna Ayre – Glass Digital Media content strategist.

The speakers wil delve into their own personal experiences from working in the PR industry. From career-building, to management roles in communications. As well as focussing on the healthcare industry in relation to PR & understaning the importance of social media monitoring.

After our success at the Greenwich Tavern for our Welcome event, we have decided to expand on our networking and decided to organise a social.

The social will be a way to network and get to know fellow peers from 1st, 2nd and 3rd years! We have organised an event at Bar Latitude at 7pm and we will be hosting fun and games and will eventually go to Sparrows for a night out!

Nicky_Campbell_PosterNicky Campbell discusses the news agenda, media management, and campaigning – and his experiences fronting some of the biggest news, current affairs and entertainment programmes on TV and radio. Currently, Nicky can be found broadcasting on the BBC (On the Breakfast Show, on Radio 5 Live, where he reaches around two and a half million listeners, and BBC One’s The Big Questions) and on ITV (BAFTA award-winning Long Lost Family);

Nicky is also a campaigner – on elephants, and on adoption issues.

For this event, we have a ticketing system as we know it is going to be popular. Tickets are free, but have to be registered for here.

He was previously deputy news editor for a Broadcast magazine and has written for a variety of publications including The Guardian, The Times, Media Week and the Sun Online.

Our fLouise Cooper Flyerirst speaker event of the year kicks off with Financial Analyst and Broadcaster, Louise Cooper. She has kindly offered to provide an insightful talk about her career working with Goldman Sachs and BBC, as well as writing articles for The Guardian, CNN and The Spectator. If this isn’t impressive enough, Cooper has also made appearances on Daybreak and Question Time. An unmissable chance to hear what she has to say!
